Women, Peace and Security Roundtable - June 28th 2024
To mark the visit of NCAFP Vice Chair Nancy Soderberg Emma convened a special women, peace and security (WPS) roundtable discussion, graciously hosted by US Consul General James Applegate in Belfast.
The roundtable included valuable contributions from representatives across the women's sector in Northern Ireland. The WPS agenda remains complex and unfinished, despite 26 years of relative peace, Northern Ireland remains one of the most dangerous places in Europe to be a woman. This meeting provided an honest assessment of the current landscape for women in Northern Ireland's post-conflict society.
